What is F.E.H.S?

F.E.H.S. stands for Forging Engineering in High Schools. It is a program under outreach for high school students to teach them what life is like as a student engineer through interactive presentations. This a very important area, as a high school student transitioning to college is a big step, and sometimes not an easy one. But with your aid, we can help guide and mentor students that are not certain what to do and reinforce those that do.

  • Increase interest in high schools students who want to study engineering.

  • Forging engineers from before they begin college experience.

  • Orientate students about STEM disciplines and by doing so increase their interest about applying to college.

  • Present each branch of engineering that the UPRM has to offer.

  • Let them know what college life is like.
